What is Descriptune?

Descriptune allows people to search music by topic and share their opinion of a song by associating the song with descriptive keywords which are then stored and can be readily searched.

What is the purpose of Descriptune?

The purpose of Descriptune is to empower people to find music they've been looking for without any or very little previous knowledge of a particular artist or song title. Descriptune allows users to voice their opinions on there favorite songs in a unique way, by associating them with at least 2 words and as many as 15.

Finding music that's new to You

One of the really cool aspects of searching music at Descriptune is that you may find something a little different than what you set out to look for, but may end up pleasantly surprised with the results.

For instance if you search the word “hope”, you may have a particular concept of what hope is referring to. While You may have wanted to find 'hope for freedom', you may have found other concepts of “hope,” such as “hope for a better life”, “hope of eternal life”, “hope of being healed from sickness”, etc. Our hope is that you come away with music you've been looking for or end up completely surprised by the song you never knew existed.
